If you are a metal fan you must be knowing about this band.if not I'll tell you.This band is awesome.One of my all time favorites.I mean they have been going on and on for 30 years.Founded by Steve Harris who also does most of the song writing (he's brilliant at it,mind you) in 1975,this band has it all.Awesome vocals, great riffs,mindblowing solos,wonderful drum work.You name it,iron maiden has it.They have sold millions of albums without any mainstream radio play.If you've not listened to them check them out.trust me,they're brilliant.A dream come true for every metal fan.

Bruce Dickinson's first album with the band was the Number of the Beast which still remains one of their best albums to date.Iron Maiden has inspired hundreds of bands and are one of the most influential bands in the rock history.

Well,when i started listening to metal, i mostly used to listen to newer bands but this band made me realize that many of the bands that i liked were mostly crap.I started searching for more and more for iron maiden and older stuff and found that there was magic in the 80's.With bands like Slayer,Metallica,Black Sabbath,Judas Preist,Motorhead,Megadeth etc.All these bands are great but I like maiden the most.Well,whatever suits you.

Another thing,they are totally awesome live.If you don't believe it check out some of their live videos.Hair raising stuff.I haven't had the chance of seeing them live.They came to India in 2008 and 2009 but i was not that big a fan then.i wish they'd come again.I'll have to go very far (a 1000 miles) to see them live but thats a very small price I would have to pay for it.

Another thing which i wanted to do in this blog is tell you some of my favorite songs from the bands i like.Whenever i stumble across a new band im always searching the net for their best songs.This might prove to be helpful so,well..lets see..
